Khatsahlano Music and Art Festival

The office has been buzzing this week, scrambling to put together Warmland’s biggest project of the summer!
‘Khatsahlano! Music + Art Festival is Vancouver’s biggest free outdoor music event. This year’s festival will feature five main stages showcasing over 40 of Vancouver’s top musical performers – a veritable who’s who of hot indie acts – plus eclectic pods of distinctive local artisans, street performers and a host of other festivities.
Local merchants turn Kitsilano’s legendary West 4th Avenue into a gigantic, 8-block street fair with a wide variety of food options, bustling patios, giveaways and special activities. Stroll down West 4th Avenue from Burrard to MacDonald and you will be captivated by the electric energy of the festival, the friendly Kits atmosphere and cool entertainment.
Hailed a success by local media and attendees alike, year one saw over 50,000 people swarm West 4th to enjoy the day-long festivities. Firmly anchored into the summer calendar, 2012 will see expanded content and offers guests the opportunity to connect and interact with our entertainers, sponsors, merchants and community both before and during the festival.’
We are so excited to announce that today we finalized the deal for Warmland Films to be the visual media team for this amazing community festival. With only a week to prepare, we’ve been working around the clock to bring together an amazing team for this incredible project. We made the call and they answered! The Warmland family would like to welcome Marie Witt, Gabrielle O’Neill-Montgrain, Grant Cunliffe, Daphne Batistella, Alicia Margetts, Emily Moe, Humberto Corte, Nick Robinson, Bjorn Hermannes, Kim Ounette, Javier Arenales, Jaselle Martino, Mohamad Masri, Chalar Turhan, Jj Hwang, Amy Hwang, Nao Sugita, Anthony Fabro, Sean Cox, Kalina Casey, Paul Cho, Andrew McCall, and Cory Tremblay to the team!
It’s a huge opportunity for us as we will be working with some of the biggest names in Vancouver- Brand.live, The Georgia Stright, The Peak FM, Zulu Records, CiTR 101.9 FM, and not to mention 40 of Vancouver’s top musical performers! Come on down to West 4th this Saturday for the biggest free music festival in Vancouver and say hello to the Warmland team. Stay tuned to hear so much more about this project and wish us luck!
